Partnering with parents and guardians
for educational excellence
Meet Sophia deDomenico
As the daughter of a Hispanic immigrant and first generation American, Sophia knows the value of a good education. Sophia is a native Californian, CVUSD graduate, and has resided in the Conejo Valley for the majority of her life. She is the mother of 3 school aged children, and former foster parent. Sophia and her husband Jeff are small business owners and have actively served the community throughout the entirety of their 12 year marriage. From coaching sports teams to running a MOPS group to serving as a former PTSA board member at her child's school, Sophia is a passionate supporter of family culture. She believes that parental/guardian involvement is crucial to each child's academic success. Sophia believes in classroom transparency, parental input, and advocating for all students educational needs. She believes the goal of education is to prepare students not only for their future career success but to train students to become engaged members of their community. Sophia believes that a successful experience for students includes collaboration between board trustees, parents, teachers, school site administrators, students, and the community. She will be a voice of reason in support of all families.
